I've noticed Norm's audience becoming ever more toxic and far-right wing recently, which seems to me to be against everything Norm would ever stand for. Just, lighten up would you all? Norm appeals to all of us and you don't get to claim him as your anti-SJW warrior. Why can't we all just enjoy Norm being funny, whether we're overly liberal & politically correct or whether we're overly racist & bigoted? Surely there's a middle ground here, where we can all agree that Norm is just about the funniest person alive.

You may notice the comments turning nasty now. That's just a reflection of the toxicity I mentioned. Norm is for everyone, so WOMAN UP hahaha

The division we're seeing in this comment section proves that Norm is on neither "side". He is for everyone, and neither "side" can use him to prove their worldview. He's just a top class comedian. There's no need to be nasty to each other or to me. But hey - I got a lot of laughs reading the over-the-top vitriol from the people I triggered, so you do you I guess?

Following Norm's death, I've blanked out all this stuff. The dissent was fun before, because I guess I'm a bit of a troll like the far-right, eh? But it's not fun to make people angry when they came here to mourn Norm's passing. AND, some commenters are right - the way I worded certain things made my thoughts come across poorly. Anyone who isn't willing to give the benefit of the doubt could latch onto some of the stuff I wrote and use it to fuel their argument. But I'm done with all that, at least for now. This is by far the item with the most comments in the archive. I find that fascinating. But can we all just stop arguing? I know that's rich coming from the guy who started the argument. At the time I was just disappointed about how a certain Norm compilation youtube channel seems to have a particular political agenda, and was using Norm's humour to further it. But the point is - let's stop fighting, at least for now. It's much nicer to see eulogies here than arguments.

Is the best thing on the Internet. Otherwise unavailable in my country by any means, which is virtually criminal. Gilbert episodes are majestic. I love the fact his style was so different with some comics: that he showed real love to the folks he respected (Gilbert), essentially terrorised others by throwing them off base (T Glass). And then there is Marchant. The last 2 jokes on the Marchant episode are like punches from Mohammed Ali after he’s been playing rope a dope to the somewhat cocky Brit for most of the episode.

Norm Macdonald was a true genius. The more I listen to him the more I find brilliance in places where I was initially confused or unaware of a certain reference. This show gets better the more you watch each episode, Norm has many little asides that are so freaking funny that are easy to miss the first listen. Just the way he says "Are they gonna get us?" in the Tom Green episode makes me laugh every time I think of it. His cadence was perfect. Best in comedy off the cuff, ever. Not to mention the amazing line up of guests. Norm brought out the best of every guest and every episode is worth watching. Yes, even the Todd Glass and Sarah Silverman ones. I always loved Larry King and Norm's chemistry. I'd write a list of my "favorite episodes", but it would be about half of them. Anyways, RIP Stormin Norman. You got some real soft hands, Adam. Thank God this piece of internet history lives on.

Norm is quite possibly the greatest shock/macabre comedian in the history of the medium. Watching these is so great having missed out on it when they were broadcasting. I'm actually writing this somewhat to complain, which I never do. I've been binging these and they are so great all of them, but I'm on the Adam Sandler episode and they are literally re-using the same jokes from the Kevin Nealon episode, and other previous episodes as well. That feels kinda lazy to me. Even though it was never intended to be consumed in this way, it smacks cheap in the moment. I feel that the production team could have worked harder I am willing to bet people were complaining when it aired. Other than that Rest in Peace Norm and we are very grateful to have these on here it is a very important contribution to pop culture and comedy. Four stars; one removed for their hubris in plagiarizing themselves.

FYI that If you download them to your computer in MP4, and share that folder, it should be accessible in the 'computer" folder if you have something like Apple TV or another smart tv. That's how I watch them.
Have seen all these multiple times and find the smaller names (at least to me) like Fred Stoller and Todd Glass to be among the most entertaining. Norm's subsequent reaction to the larry King interview in later interviews is interesting, given what he was dealing with.
Anyway, work with Internet Archive lots. This is easily the best of the best that I've encountered here. Really grateful for it.

I rewatched some popular early ones. I skipped ahead to Silverman's and was really disappointed. I did find it funny that she admits Jews run Hollywood but then goes in to her default schtick that Jews are somehow victims even in that field for changing their names. I've been a fan of Norm's for a long time. I've seen his movies, TV shows, and even his stand up comedy live in person. I always wanted to meet him. Then one day I was in the food court at the mall and behold... The man himself. Well I tell you I was star struck. I had to meet him and talk to him... Maybe even get an autograph or a picture. He was sitting by himself stuffing his fat face, as was his style. I didn't think I could get his attention as he was so consumed with devouring the lard soaked mall food before him. I quickly came up with a plan. I pretended to be a mall janitor and started picking up trash off the tables. I casually worked my way towards his table, and when I got there, I asked him "Can I take this trash for you sir? Let me do your DIRTY WORK." Well I thought he would laugh and smile and jump up to shake my hand, but he just groaned and pushed the tray towards me, not even looking up from the basket of popcorn chicken he cradled in his arms. After a moment of frustration, I said "Mr Macdonald, I'm a huge fan... " At this, he paused, and in confusion raised his eyes to meet mine. The sonnuva bitch wasn't even Norm. It was just some fat piece of crap stinking up the food court. Not a day goes by that I don't think about how much I hate that fat sunnova bitch.

I don't really see how anyone can even make the argument that Norm is ideological at all. I think people see what they want to see in Norm as opposed to the objective reality that he is. From everything I've seen he's pretty ignorant when it comes to politics and only pokes fun add an opposing viewpoint to rile them up. Other than that he is a free speech advocate and does not jump on the Daily outrage mob but seems to govern so much of our topical comments and thoughts. It's pretty basic common sense. FWIW, I think Norm makes it pretty clear that he is a conservative. It also seems at some point, he became a born again Christian. Lots of young Norm stuff references him being an atheist (Artie maybe? it was a plane story). From my mediocre detective work, it looks like Jordan Peterson's brand of Christianity really had an effect upon Norm and marked the point where he started professing his beliefs.

As a far-left socialist type who did philosophy and law school yet who still clings to Christianity (what up Kierkegaard), I understand Norm's intellectual struggle and think our compatriots on the right are correct here.

But yo, guys, chill lmao. it doesn't have to be war. we're all here for a shared love for norm. that should be a bridge, and what not, not a goddamn battle ground lmao.

I love how when norm gets people he legitimately respects like Merchant and Russell you can see he gets all nervous. It’s rare when he’s not in control but it’s clear in those episodes he isn’t. Stephen dominates his episode which I find truly astonishing.. funny how when your two favourite comedy figures meet it’s not always the best match.

Norm is hilarious, the majority of the guests are hilarious, and for a guy who used to jerk off punks under the Queensborough bridge, Adam Egret is hilarious. This is a great collection of material that was sorely missed from YouTube.
